Paying for your Master of Science in Nursing Degree

Tuition and fees are among the lowest in Pennsylvania because the three universities are part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Generally, tuition and fees change from one year to the next. For further information and specific costs, please see the Clarion University Student Accounts web page.

It is our hope that no one is denied the opportunity for preparation as a Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse Educator due to financial need.  In order to help you take advantage of available financial assistance, we have included information below about aid specifically for Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator students. For more information about Financial Aid, please visit the Financial Aid web site. You may also e-mail the Financial Aid Office at Clarion University.

Advanced Education Nursing Traineeships

Traineeship funds help support full-time students for the two years they are in the program and part-time students in the last 12 months of their program.  The Clarion, Edinboro and Slippery Rock Universities Master of Science in Nursing Program has received funds to disperse to all eligible students in the past and will apply for these funds yearly.  The amount varies from year to year depending on the amount of the federal award.

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarships:
